Carat Quest is a silver jewellery house based in Gujarat, India. This policy explains what we do with the personal information you give us when you browse thecaratquest.com, sign in to an account, or place an order.
If you have any question about this policy, write to us and we will answer.
When you sign in with Google we receive your name, your email address and your profile photo. We never receive your Google password, and we cannot see anything else in your Google account.
When you place an order we also collect your delivery address, your phone number and, if you ask for a GST invoice, your GST number. Payment details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored on our systems.
We keep a record of what you have bought so that we can service the piece, honour a return, and answer any question about the order later.
We use your information to take and deliver your order, to answer you when you contact us, to keep your saved pieces available across your devices, and to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to a jewellery business in India.
We send marketing email only to people who have asked for it. If you never ticked that box, we will not send you offers.
You can turn our news and offers on or off at any time from your account page, or by using the unsubscribe link at the foot of any email we send. Turning it off stops the marketing; it does not stop the emails about an order you have actually placed.
Your information is shared only with the people who need it to complete your order — our delivery partner, our payment provider, and our email provider.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anybody else's advertising.
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Indian tax and company law requires. Account details are kept while your account is open. Ask us to close your account and we will remove what we are not legally required to keep.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete your account. Write to us and we will act on it.
You can also sign out at any time, and you can revoke our access from your Google account settings.
We keep your shopping bag, your saved pieces and your sign-in session in your own browser's storage so the site works as you move between pages. This stays on your device. We do not use advertising trackers.
