Our commitment
Carat Quest wants thecaratquest.com to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, a magnifier, a keyboard alone, voice control, or with reduced motion turned on.
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our standard. We have not yet completed an independent audit against it, so we describe this as the standard we work to rather than one we claim to have met in full.
What the site does today
Every page can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and what has focus is always visible.
Menus, drawers and dialogs announce themselves to assistive technology, close with the Escape key, and hold the page still behind them so you do not lose your place.
Every photograph of a piece carries a text description, and text is set at sizes and contrasts chosen to stay readable. If your system asks for reduced motion, our animations stand still.
Where we know we fall short
Some product photography carries descriptions that name the piece but not its detail, and we are rewriting those.
A few older pages have headings that read out of order to a screen reader.
We would rather tell you this than let you discover it. As each is fixed, this list will get shorter.
If something is in your way
Tell us and we will help you directly — and then fix it.
Write to hello@thecaratquest.com or call +91 63560 39856. Please say which page you were on and what you were trying to do; that is usually enough for us to find it.
If you cannot use part of the site, we will complete the order, answer the question, or give you the information over WhatsApp, email or the telephone instead. You will never be turned away because a page did not work for you.
How we keep this current
Accessibility is not finished work. We check new pages before they go live, and we revisit this statement whenever something on the list above changes.
If you think we have described the site more generously than it deserves, please say so.
